At this point in my life, I had  just quit drinking  was obsessed with a person. He was "The Secret". I switched addictions and I think that the universe made it happen this way. Instead of having the mental obsession for alcohol, it was this person. Three thousand miles away and unable to act out on my compulsion, I spent 1 year in misery but I never thought of a drink. I do think that was what saved me.
